Database of Vascular Plant Species Associated With Neotropical Wetlands

NEOAQUATICA provides habitat-specific information for vascular plant species known to occur in Neotropical wetlands.  Work on the database began in 1994; currently, data are provided for 5,328 taxa.  Although the database is composed almost entirely of data pertaining to vascular species, data for a few, widespread "aquatic bryophytes" have also been included.

Query the Database

Queries can be initiated at the level of 'class', family, genus, or taxon. Taxon names are entered as binomials (e.g., Eichhornia azurea, Eleocharis montana, Equisetum giganteum, Paspalum repens, etc.).
